Primarily a focus on the history of the people, systems, and transformations of Japan, Ireland, and the United States

"Drinking, Politics, and War: Taverns During the American Revolution," research paper for the course History of Drink, May 2021. An exploration of primary sources on drinking during colonial times to discover how taverns and tavern keepers supported the war.

"Economics and Authority: Property in Japan from 700 to 1350," research paper for the course Law and Society in Premodern Japan and China, May 2021. An examination of how controlling property was a strong source of power and authority for different governments throughout Japan's history.

"The Minamoto Leaders of the Gempei Era: A Close Look at Behaviors and Motives," research paper for the course Seminar in Pre-Modern Japanese History, May 2020. Using documents from the Heian period and the Tale of the Heike as sources, the paper makes a deep analysis of the personalities and behaviors of the Minamoto leaders during the 1180s.

"Economics in Early Medieval Ireland: Clientship," slide deck for the course Britain and Ireland to 1200 C.E., November 2020. Research project on the clientship system and the effects on the political and social situation of families in the tuath community in early medieval Ireland from 400-600 CE.

"Politics vs Morals: United States and the Cambodian Genocide in 1975-1979," research paper for the course Mass Violence and Comparative Genocide in Modern World History, November 2020. A study of the reaction and response of the United States to the Cambodian Genocide in 1975-1979 and how the political situation influenced the U.S.'s actions.

"America's Soul-Bowl: The Battle for the American Soul," research paper for the course 20th Century U.S. History, November 2020. The paper takes a long look at the U.S.'s actions and evolution throughout the 20th century to answer the question, "In the 20th century, did the United States gain the world but lose its soul?"
